From My Hero Academia, this Banpresto figurine depicts Shota Aizawa, better known by his hero name Eraser Head. Part of the MAXIMATIC range, it stands approximately 18 cm tall and features a highly dynamic pose, showing the Class 1-A teacher in the thick of the action.
Eraser Head is depicted in a very low, crouching stance, with one hand resting on the ground whilst his body appears ready to spring into action. He wears his almost entirely black hero costume, complete with his equipment belt and yellow safety goggles. His long, dark hair is swept up above his face, reinforcing the impression that his Alter is currently in use.
The main visual feature of the sculpture remains his capture weapon, consisting of long grey strands that wrap around the character and form several loops above and around his silhouette. These elements significantly expand the composition relative to his actual height and give the figurine a particularly striking sense of movement. The MAXIMATIC range thus fully captures Aizawa’s fighting style, which combines the neutralisation of Alters, mobility and the physical immobilisation of his opponents.

Shota Aizawa is both a professional hero and a teacher at Yuei High School, where he is responsible for Class 1-A, which includes Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki and their classmates. His particularly rational nature and apparent sternness may give a cold first impression, but the anime’s official profile emphasises that he keeps a close eye on his pupils and takes his role as a teacher very seriously.
His Quirk, Erasure, allows him to neutralise the Quirk of anyone he looks at. Unlike many heroes capable of directly unleashing great offensive power, Aizawa must therefore combine this ability with his own physical skills and combat experience. This distinctive trait explains his highly tactical style and his ability to put opponents—who are normally far more powerful—on the back foot.
To complement his Alter, he uses, in particular, his capture weapon—a long piece of fabric that he manoeuvres to entangle, throw or immobilise his enemies. His glasses also shield his eyes and make it harder for his opponents to determine precisely which target he is observing. The combination of this equipment with ‘Erasure’ makes Eraser Head a hero particularly well-suited to operations requiring control and neutralisation.
As the story unfolds, Aizawa goes far beyond his role as a mere teacher. He regularly steps in to protect his pupils during Villain attacks and remains directly involved in the major conflicts facing Yuei. His consistently pragmatic demeanour thus masks a deep attachment to his pupils, to whom he seeks, above all, to instil the reflexes necessary to survive the life of a hero. This MAXIMATIC figurine specifically highlights this combative side of the character: Aizawa crouched low to the ground, capture bands deployed and ready to neutralise his opponent before going on the offensive.
