Origin and background of the character
Created in Japan in 1974 by Kōichi Sekiguchi, Monchhichi (known affectionately in France as ‘Kiki, the kiki of all kikis’) is a small soft toy monkey with a baby-faced expression who has won the hearts of generations of children and adults around the world. A timeless symbol of innocence, kindness and gentleness, this companion has remained just as popular through the ages. Through this collection designed by the Benelic brand, the character makes an elegant and practical addition to Japanese-inspired lifestyle. This insulated mug brilliantly combines kawaii aesthetics with modern thermal insulation technology, making it an excellent retro and practical gift idea for all fans of vintage pop culture.
