History and background of the model
Maui, the legendary shape-shifting demigod of the wind and ocean, made his first appearance in 2016 in Disney Studios' 56th animated classic, Vaiana: Legend of the End of the World. Inspired by stories from Polynesian mythology, this eccentric character, tattooed and armed with a giant magic hook, joins forces with young Vaiana to cross the Pacific and restore the heart of the goddess Te Fiti in order to save her island from destruction.
Produced by Funko, this figurine showcases the hero's mystical attributes thanks to its phosphorescent properties, ideal for enhancing the visual aspect of an exhibition space or a library dedicated to animation classics.
