Origin and backstory of the character (Lore)
Created by the Japanese brand Sanrio in 1974, Hello Kitty (whose real name is Kitty White) is a cheerful, big-hearted little girl who lives in the suburbs of London with her parents and her twin sister Mimmy. She loves baking biscuits and making new friends, and her motto has always been: “You can never have too many friends”. This exclusive “Merry Market” edition reimagines the heroine’s colourful, kawaii world with a touch of winter magic. An essential item to add to the collections of all Sanrio fans.
