From the Medalist range, this Banpresto figurine depicts Inori Yuitsuka, a young figure skater at the heart of Tsurumaikada’s work. Part of the ESPRESTO – Ice Wings collection, this approximately 17 cm figure places particular emphasis on the movement and grace of a performance on the ice.
Inori is depicted in the midst of a skating pose, balancing on one leg whilst the other is raised high behind her. Her outstretched arms extend the dynamism of the pose and lend the sculpture a very ethereal silhouette. She wears a competition outfit in shades of pink, white and light blue, decorated with small star-shaped motifs, with a flared skirt that visually complements her movement.
The defining feature of this Ice Wings version is a large, translucent pink effect that rises from the base and follows the trajectory of the rear leg. Its shape evokes both a stylised wing and a projection of ice, reinforcing the impression that Inori has just traced her movement across the ice rink. This decorative element gives the figurine a more theatrical quality than a conventional depiction of the character.

Inori Yuitsuka is one of the protagonists of *Medalist*, a manga by Tsurumaikada centred on figure skating. At the start of the story, she has a deep passion for the sport and dreams of becoming an Olympic gold medallist, but still lacks the necessary resources and coaching to truly pursue this goal. She therefore trains largely on her own until she meets Tsukasa Akeuraji.
A former ice dancer, Tsukasa recognises her determination and agrees to become her coach. Under his guidance, Inori gradually develops her skills and begins to take part in increasingly high-profile competitions. Among the skaters she meets is Hikaru Kamisaki, a young champion regarded as particularly talented, who becomes both a goal and a rival for Inori.
The series thus follows, in parallel, the progress of the young skater and that of her coach, both seeking to push beyond their own limits to reach the very highest level. This Ice Wings figurine, which captures Inori in a particularly graceful competition pose, directly echoes this central sporting theme of *Medalist*.
