Beschreibung

Discover Elektra Natchios with this 15 cm articulated figure from Hasbro’s Marvel Legends Series. This edition is directly inspired by the character’s appearance in Daredevil #181, published in 1982, one of the most memorable issues from the period written and illustrated by Frank Miller. The figure therefore features Elektra’s classic red costume and comes with a miniature reproduction of the comic’s cover, which served as the reference.

Elektra is depicted with her long black hair, red headband and her characteristic asymmetrical outfit. The all-red costume includes her one-shouldered leotard, arm and thigh bands, and high boots. This look is directly inspired by her original costume, introduced during her early adventures in *Daredevil* and notably worn in issue 181.

The figure features over 20 points of articulation, with a fully posable head, arms and legs. It can therefore be displayed in various combat poses using the character’s two iconic weapons. Four interchangeable hands allow for even greater variety in poses, particularly between open-handed poses and grips suited to the weapons.

The set includes a total of seven accessories: four alternative hands, two sai and a plastic reproduction, in the same scale as the figure, of the cover of *Daredevil* #181 from 1982. The packaging features a retro-style illustrated blister pack in the style of comic books, with the name ‘Elektra’ and the reference to issue 181 directly incorporated into the packaging design.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Elektra Natchios first appeared in Daredevil #168 in 1981. Created by Frank Miller, she is portrayed as a former girlfriend of Matt Murdock, whom he met whilst they were students. However, their relationship takes a completely different turn when Elektra reappears years later as a formidable mercenary and assassin.

An expert in martial arts and particularly renowned for her use of twin sais, Elektra regularly straddles the line between heroine, anti-heroine and assassin. During this period of her story, she works notably for Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin, which places her directly at the heart of the conflict between the criminal and Daredevil. Her romantic history with Matt Murdock, however, makes their clashes and alliances far more complex.

Daredevil #181 is one of the most famous instalments in this story. Bullseye, furious at having been replaced by Elektra as the Kingpin’s chief assassin, seeks to reclaim his position. The two combatants then face off in a particularly brutal duel that ends when Bullseye mortally wounds Elektra with one of her own daggers. She still manages to reach Matt Murdock before succumbing to her injuries.

Elektra’s disappearance is not, however, permanent. She returns later in *Daredevil* #190, where her story takes on a more mystical dimension. The character would subsequently become a recurring figure in the Marvel Universe, appearing as a mercenary, a member of various teams and even, much later, as a new incarnation of Daredevil tasked with protecting Hell’s Kitchen.

This Marvel Legends figure therefore pays tribute to one of the most significant periods in Elektra’s history, recreating her classic costume and making a direct reference to *Daredevil* #181 – an issue that has become inextricably linked to the rivalry between Elektra, Bullseye, Daredevil and the Kingpin.
