Discover an alternative version of Steve Rogers with this 15 cm Captain America (Earth X) figure from Hasbro’s Marvel Legends Series. Inspired by the Earth X miniseries, it depicts an ageing, battle-scarred Captain America set in an alternative future where the Marvel universe has undergone profound changes.
This incarnation does away with much of the hero’s traditional costume in favour of a much more rudimentary look. Steve Rogers is depicted bare-chested, wearing an outfit made up of pieces of the American flag draped around his body, leg guards and his iconic red, white and blue circular shield. His aged face and scars emphasise the weathered nature of this version of the character.
The figure features over 20 points of articulation, allowing the head, arms and legs to be positioned in various poses. It comes with seven accessories: an alternate head, four interchangeable hands, Captain America’s shield and a scale plastic reproduction of the cover of the 2005 hardback edition of *Earth X*. This accessory replicates the book that reprinted the miniseries which inspired the figure’s design.
With its standard 15 cm size, this Earth X version can be displayed alongside other Marvel Legends Series figures dedicated to the various incarnations of Marvel heroes. It comes in retro comic-book-inspired blister packaging, suitable for both display in the box and for showcasing the articulated figure.

Character origin and universe (Lore)
Earth X is an alternate reality within the Marvel Universe conceived primarily by Alex Ross and Jim Krueger, with John Paul Leon providing the artwork for the main series. In this future, a mysterious evolution known as Plague X has granted powers to the whole of humanity, profoundly transforming the role once occupied by superheroes. Marvel describes Captain America as one of the last representatives of a bygone era and as the last human who has remained truly ordinary.
This version of Steve Rogers is much older and bears the physical scars of decades of combat. Whilst extraordinary abilities have become commonplace, the Super-Soldier who once represented the pinnacle of human potential now appears merely as a highly trained and determined man. Despite these changes in the world, Steve continues to defend his ideals and fight for what he believes is right.
During *Earth X*, Captain America faces an extremely dangerous new incarnation of the Red Skull. Steve eventually puts an end to the threat once and for all by killing his adversary, but this act affects him deeply: feeling he has betrayed the values he stood for, he comes to believe he is no longer worthy of being part of the Avengers. Nevertheless, he continues his fight for a better world, despite his age, his injuries and the gradual passing of the era he represented.
This darker, more vulnerable portrayal of Captain America explains the unusual appearance of the Marvel Legends figure: an ageing Steve Rogers, scarred by battle and clad in the colours of the American flag in a much more rugged style, yet still accompanied by his shield and the determination that defines the character.
