Discover Acroyear, one of the iconic warriors of the Micronauts, with this 15 cm articulated figure from Hasbro’s Marvel Legends Series. This edition is directly inspired by his appearance in Micronauts No. 12, published in 1979, and recreates the design of the Crown Prince of Spartak as he appears in the Marvel comics.

The figure recreates Acroyear’s heavily armoured look, complete with his distinctive helmet and warrior’s gear. Character background and universe (Lore)

Acroyear is the crown prince of Spartak, a world in the Microverse populated by particularly resilient warriors. After being imprisoned, he manages to escape and joins several other rebels opposing the reign of the tyrannical Baron Karza. He thus becomes one of the founding members of the Micronauts, alongside Commander Arcturus Rann, Marionette, Bug and Biotron, amongst others.

His struggle is not limited to Baron Karza alone. Acroyear must also face Shaitan, his own brother, who chooses to betray his people and ally himself with the ruling power. This brotherly conflict is one of the main dramatic elements of his story and regularly pits Acroyear against a dilemma between his duty to Spartak and his family ties.

Within the Micronauts, Acroyear serves as the group’s mighty warrior. His armour, physical strength and mastery of weapons make him a vital fighter in the rebellion against Karza. Alongside his companions, he travels across the Microverse aboard the Endeavour and takes part in the struggle to liberate Homeworld from the tyrant’s rule. The team’s adventures also take them to Earth, where they encounter several heroes and organisations from the Marvel Universe.

Micronauts No. 12, on which this figurine is based, is part of the first Marvel series dedicated to the team, launched in 1979. This period laid the foundations for the Micronauts’ mythology and transformed Acroyear into a fully-fledged comic book character, distinct from his origins in the toy range that had inspired the creation of the series.
