Origin and world of the character
The Great White Shark (commonly nicknamed "Bruce" by the film crew) is the ultimate antagonist and central figure in Steven Spielberg's thriller/horror masterpieceJaws, released in 1975. The plot revolves around the deadly attacks of an oversized, man-eating shark on the beaches of the fictional seaside resort of Amity Island. To save the local population and economy, police chief Martin Brody, marine biologist Matt Hooper and seasoned shark hunter Quint embark on the Orca for a rigorous and dramatic maritime confrontation. A veritable pillar of pop culture and pioneer of the summer blockbuster era, the film has had a profound effect on the history of the seventh art. This oversized commemorative edition captures the terrifying imagery of Universal Studios' sea monster.
