Derpy Tiger is a large, supernatural blue tiger from the demon world. Despite his imposing figure, fangs and large eyes, he is best known for his clumsy behaviour, exaggerated expressions and affectionate nature.
He regularly appears alongside Sussie Bird, a strange six-eyed bird who accompanies him on his journeys between the demon world and the human world. The pair bring a light-hearted and humorous touch to the K-Pop Demon Hunters universe.
Derpy Tiger’s design is inspired by traditional Korean folk paintings, in which a tiger is often depicted alongside a magpie. These works generally give the feline an appearance that is at once imposing, naive and comical – a contrast directly reflected in the character’s personality.
