Character background and lore

Gyro Zeppeli is one of the main protagonists of Steel Ball Run, the seventh part of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Originally from the Kingdom of Naples, he comes from a family with a history in capital punishment and takes part in the massive Steel Ball Run horse race across the United States.

His speciality lies in the use of the ‘Spin’, a technique based on rotation and applied to his famous Steel Balls. Gyro uses these metal spheres both as weapons and as tools capable of producing an extremely wide variety of effects depending on the precision of the rotation.

During the race, he forms a key partnership with Johnny Joestar, a former paraplegic jockey who gradually discovers the principles of Spin alongside him. Their relationship, characterised by learning, rivalry and trust, is one of the central themes of *Steel Ball Run*.

This 26 cm Mometria Gyro Zeppeli figurine thus pays tribute to one of the most memorable characters from this part of the saga, depicting him with his Steel Ball and in a pose true to his theatrical and self-assured character.
