Discover Kuromi’s playful world with this 390 ml ceramic mug. This design stands out from a traditional mug thanks to its shape, which is directly inspired by the character’s head, creating a piece of tableware that is as functional as it is decorative.
The mug features a glossy black finish and depicts Kuromi’s white face on the front, accompanied by her iconic pink skull. The two points of her headdress are integrated directly into the mug’s relief and protrude from the upper rim, accentuating its three-dimensional appearance. On the back, the name ‘Kuromi’ appears in a decorative yellow print.
Its three-dimensional design also allows it to be used as a decorative item when not being used for drinks. The contrast between the black ceramic, the white face and the pink skull directly echoes the key visual elements associated with Kuromi.

Origin and character background (Lore)
Kuromi is one of Sanrio’s iconic characters. She is instantly recognisable by her black jester-style headdress adorned with a pink skull, as well as her boisterous and mischievous nature. Sanrio describes her as a true free spirit with a lively character, yet one who also possesses a very feminine side beneath her rebellious exterior. Her birthday is celebrated on 31 October, a date particularly suited to her dark and mischievous aesthetic.
Kuromi is also known as My Melody’s self-proclaimed, yet friendly, rival. Behind her penchant for mischief, she enjoys writing in her diary, cooking and reading romance novels. This contrast between her punk appearance and her more romantic side is one of the character’s key traits.
The design of this mug draws directly on this visual identity by transforming Kuromi’s headdress into a three-dimensional feature of the mug. The pink skull, white face and black ceramic make the character instantly recognisable whilst giving the mug a distinctive silhouette.
