Character background and lore

Yuki Izumi is a member of Unit 31A in Heaven Burns Red. The official website describes her as a genius hacker and former member of the Orchid hacker group.

Her background is particularly impressive: even before joining the Seraph forces, Yuki is said to have taken part in an operation that helpedprevent a Third World War, already demonstrating her exceptional skills in the field of IT.

Within Unit 31A, she often acts as the most level-headed member of the group. Whilst several of her comrades have very eccentric personalities, Yuki is regularly the one who reacts pragmatically and puts absurd situations into perspective. The official profile even highlights that she practically single-handedly takes on the role of tsukkomi – that is, the one who responds to the eccentricities of others.

She has a particularly close relationship with Ruka Kayamori, the main protagonist of Heaven Burns Red. Before they met, Yuki was already a fan of the legendary band She is Legend, in which Ruka had previously played.

After they joined the Seraph units, Yuki often finds herself swept up in Ruka’s unpredictable ideas. Despite her frequent protests, she remains one of Ruka’s most reliable allies and actively supports her within 31A.

The contrast between her exceptional intelligence and her role as the ‘voice of reason’ plays a major part in shaping her character. She is just as important during the story’s serious moments as she is in the many humorous interactions between the squad members.

This Trio-Try-iT figurine thus showcases one of the key figures of 31A: a brilliant fighter, a prodigious hacker and, above all, a true pillar of support for Ruka and her comrades.
