Origin and character background (Lore)

Hatsune Miku is a virtual singer developed by Crypton Future Media using voice synthesis software. Launched in 2007, she quickly became one of the most iconic figures in Japanese digital music culture.

Recognisable by her long turquoise hair tied in two plaits and her futuristic aesthetic, Miku does not have a single, fixed backstory. Instead, she serves as a true creative canvas that artists can reinterpret across a multitude of styles, eras and worlds.

This ‘Thumbelina’ version is inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale *Thumbelina*, which tells the story of a tiny girl born in a flower who faces many adventures before finding her place in a magical world.

By combining Miku’s visual identity with this floral and wondrous world, the Wonderland collection offers a particularly poetic interpretation of the character, ideal for collectors who appreciate designs inspired by classic fairy tales.
