Discover Hatsune Miku in an energetic interpretation with this 1/7 scale Cheerleading Ver. figurine, produced by Good Smile Company as part of the G.S. Collection range. Standing approximately 25.4 cm tall, it brings Morimoto’s illustration – winner of the Grand Prix at the third Hatsune Miku × Good Smile Company illustration competition – to life in three dimensions.
Miku is depicted in a cheerleader outfit in light, pastel colours, striking a dynamic pose with her two pom-poms held aloft. Her long turquoise pigtails complement the movement of the composition, whilst her smiling expression perfectly captures the theme of encouragement chosen for the original illustration. Good Smile Company particularly highlights the work carried out on the colour gradients of the hair and the visual texture of the pom-poms.

Hatsune Miku was originally a singing voice synthesis software programme developed by Crypton Future Media. Launched on 31 August 2007, it enables creators to produce a singing voice from lyrics and melodies entered into the software. Her name can be interpreted as ‘the first sound of the future’. Her official profile depicts her as a 16-year-old virtual singer, standing 158 cm tall and recognisable by her long turquoise pigtails.
Beyond the software itself, Hatsune Miku has become the centre of a vast participatory creative culture. Musicians, illustrators, videographers and 3D artists produce their own works centred on the character, with Crypton describing Miku as a genuine meeting point enabling an international community to create and share new content.
The Cheerleading Ver. directly illustrates this collaborative aspect. The design stems from a competition launched by Good Smile Company in 2025 centred on twelve different themes. For the third edition, dedicated to the theme ‘Cheerleading’, Morimoto’s illustration won the Grand Prix and was subsequently selected to be adapted into a figurine. The artist explains that she wanted to convey a sense of energy, lightness and encouragement through the outfit, the pose and the colours.
This figurine is therefore as much a new interpretation of Hatsune Miku as it is a representation of the very nature of her universe: a character whose appearance can be continually reinvented thanks to the creations of her community.
