Origin and background of the character
Mondingus Fletcher is a notorious con artist who moves in the magical community. Particularly cunning, he possesses the ability to hear things that usually escape the notice of ordinary mortals and has a great fondness for a joke. Despite his illegal activities and dubious reputation, he shows absolute loyalty to Albus Dumbledore, who once saved him from a very sticky situation. This gratitude drives him to join the Order of the Phoenix to fight against the forces of Evil, as Mondingus has never considered joining the ranks of Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters.
