Origin and character’s world
A simple diary purchased by a young teenager in Muggle London in the 1940s, this book became the very first Horcrux secretly created by Lord Voldemort. The occult artefact contains a fragment of the soul and the preserved memories of Tom Riddle from his time as a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Although its pages appear perfectly blank at first glance, the notebook possesses the ability to communicate autonomously and subtly with anyone who writes in it with ink. Manipulated over time, Ginny Weasley and then Harry Potter fell victim to it, before the young hero managed to destroy the evil object once and for all by piercing it with a Basilisk’s venom-tipped hook.
