"A Charms bracelet may seem like a small, worthless object. But what other piece of jewellery is so imbued with memories and emotions? Why call these little masterpieces "Charms" if not to allude to their talismanic properties? They have a meaning that goes beyond simple jewellery. They are truly personal amulets."
"Lumos is a spell I created in HARRY POTTER™ to bring light into a desperately dark and terrifying place. At Lumos, that's exactly what we do: we put the spotlight on the children left behind, forgotten and hidden away, so that everyone understands their plight and works hand in hand to get them out."
- J.K. Rowling, Founder and Chairman of Lumos
