HAIKYU!! – Toru Oikawa – 19 cm figurine

Meet Toru Oikawa, captain and setter of the Aoba Johsai High School volleyball team in Haikyu!!, with this FuRyu figurine measuring approximately 19 cm. This figure captures his iconic on-court appearance, wearing his team’s white and turquoise kit with the number 1 clearly visible on his jersey.

Oikawa is depicted standing in a confident pose, one arm stretched forward with a clenched fist. His distinctive brown hairstyle and confident expression capture his leadership qualities, whilst his kit features several details seen in the series: turquoise shorts, volleyball shoes and mismatched knee pads – white on one leg and black on the other. The figurine rests on a rectangular base whose finish evokes the wooden floor of a volleyball court.

Pre-painted and non-articulated, this figurine is designed for display. Its 19 cm size showcases the character’s silhouette whilst remaining easy to incorporate into a Haikyu!! collection. FuRyu also offers a matching figurine of Hajime Iwaizumi, allowing you to bring together the two iconic players from Aoba Johsai.

Character background and lore

Toru Oikawa is a third-year student at Aoba Johsai High School and serves as both captain and setter for his boys’ volleyball team. A particularly well-rounded player, he is notably known for his ability to analyse his teammates and make the most of each player’s strengths. His powerful jump serve is also one of his main weapons on the court.

Before high school, Oikawa played for Kitagawa Daiichi, where he was the senior to Tobio Kageyama. Kageyama’s exceptional progress fuels a strong rivalry within him, whilst his regular clashes with Wakatoshi Ushijima and Shiratorizawa also help to strengthen his determination. Behind his carefree, provocative and sometimes theatrical demeanour lies an extremely hard-working player who constantly seeks to push his own limits.

His partnership with Hajime Iwaizumi, his childhood friend and vice-captain of Aoba Johsai, is also one of the most important relationships in his career. Their long history together enables Oikawa to develop particularly effective combinations and makes the pair one of the main obstacles faced by Karasuno throughout the series.
