This Banpresto figurine from the Glasscape collection features Himmel, the legendary hero of *Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End*. Standing approximately 18 cm tall, it depicts the character in a calm and contemplative pose, combined with a prominent circular decorative element that helps give the whole piece the appearance of a small vignette rather than a traditional, standalone figurine.
Himmel is depicted sitting in an elegant and relaxed posture, dressed in his characteristic adventurer’s outfit. His blue tunic, light-coloured cloak and boots are rendered with particular attention to the folds of the clothing and the character’s silhouette. His peaceful and confident expression reflects the image of the benevolent and charismatic hero portrayed throughout the series.
The distinctive feature of the Glasscape collection lies in the backdrop behind the figure. This version of Himmel features a large, translucent circular panel with a stained-glass-inspired design, adorned with blue and gold motifs. This element adds depth and verticality to the composition whilst reinforcing the nostalgic atmosphere associated with Himmel in the story of Frieren.
Made from PVC and designed for display, this 18 cm figurine can be displayed on its own or as part of a collection dedicated to the various members of Frieren’s group of heroes: Beyond Journey’s End. The combination of character and backdrop makes it a piece particularly well-suited to collections that prioritise narrative displays.

Character background and lore
Himmel is the hero of the group of adventurers who, before the main plot of *Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End* begins, embark on a ten-year journey to defeat the Demon King. He is accompanied by Frieren, an elven mage, the priest Heiter and the dwarf warrior Eisen. Their victory brings a long period of peace to the world.
Himmel stands out as much for his skills as a fighter as for his personality. Charismatic, generous and always willing to help others, he leaves behind many memories and monuments in the regions his group travels through. He also has a decidedly narcissistic side and regularly jokes about his own good looks, which contrasts with the sincerity of his heroic deeds.
After the defeat of the Demon King, the four companions go their separate ways. Himmel and Frieren, however, promise to meet again fifty years later to witness the Era meteor shower once more. For Frieren, whose elven lifespan is measured in centuries, these fifty years pass quickly. When she is reunited with Himmel, he has become an old man and dies shortly after their reunion.
Himmel’s death marks the true emotional starting point of *Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End*. Realising that she had spent ten years by his side without truly seeking to understand this human, whose existence was nevertheless so short, Frieren embarks on a new journey to learn more about human beings and the feelings that bind them together. Himmel thus remains a constant presence in the narrative through Frieren’s memories and the consequences of the actions taken during their previous adventure.
