Dive into the colourful world of Pixar with this POP! Sayings No. 1817 figurine dedicated to Dory, the unforgettable blue surgeonfish from the film Finding Nemo. Designed by Funko, this version features the character alongside a speech bubble containing her famous encouraging phrase: ‘Just keep swimming!’.
Dory is depicted with her bright blue body, yellow fins and the large black markings running down her back. Her big eyes, beaming smile and rounded silhouette capture the cheerful and optimistic spirit that characterises her in the film.
The figurine appears to be moving through the water, with her fins spread out on either side of her body. A translucent base supports the figure and creates a sense of movement in the water. Positioned above Dory, the speech bubble transforms this POP! into an instantly recognisable little scene rather than a simple static portrait.
The phrase ‘Just keep swimming!’ perfectly sums up Dory’s personality. Despite her memory problems and the many obstacles encountered during the journey, she refuses to be discouraged and constantly encourages her companions to carry on.
She comes in an illustrated window box bearing the number 1817. The packaging allows the figurine and her speech bubble to be seen whilst protecting the whole set, for display either in the box or out of the box.

Dory is a blue surgeonfish living in the Pacific Ocean. She suffers from severe short-term memory loss, which means she regularly forgets people she has just met, instructions she has been given or the reason for her journey.
In Finding Nemo, she meets Marlin, a clownfish who is crossing the ocean to find his son, who has been captured by a diver. Dory spontaneously decides to help him after reading the address written on a diving mask: ‘P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney’.
Despite her frequent forgetfulness, Dory proves to be particularly brave and resourceful. She can read, communicates in her own way with the whales and maintains a positive attitude even when Marin loses all hope. Her optimism quickly becomes essential to continuing the journey.
The phrase ‘Just keep swimming’ emerges as a simple principle for carrying on when a situation seems hopeless. Dory sings it to give herself courage and to remind Marin that he can only find Nemo by continuing on his way.
The character returns to the forefront in *Finding Dory*, where she sets out to find her parents and understand her past. This second journey explores her memory-related struggles in greater depth, but also shows that her differences can become a strength when she trusts her intuition and her friends.
This POP! Sayings figure encapsulates this message perfectly. Dory isn’t simply depicted as a colourful fish: the speech bubble highlights the phrase that best defines her perseverance, her optimism and her ability to carry on despite uncertainty.
