Universe & Lore
In the universe of the sci-fi animation masterpiece Neon Genesis Evangelion, created by Hideaki Anno, the Evangelion Unit-02 is the very first production model built by NERV, designed specifically for combat against the Angels. Piloted by the fearless and proud Asuka Langley Soryu, the EVA-02 is instantly recognisable by its aggressive bright red armour and its four-lens front configuration. Unlike previous prototypes, it incorporates state-of-the-art weaponry optimised for close-quarters combat, reflecting its pilot’s fiery temperament and quest for perfection. This legendary mecha embodies humanity’s martial might in the face of divine threats, whilst concealing deep psychological secrets beneath its metallic armour.
