The History and Lore of the Item
Asuka Langley Shikinami is the elite pilot of Evangelion Unit-02, assigned to NERV. Known for her fiery temperament, immense pride and fierce competitive spirit, behind this façade she hides a complex sensitivity shaped by the traumas of her past and the heavy responsibility of saving humanity. In the ‘Rebuild of Evangelion’ film tetralogy, the rare moments of respite during which the teenagers at NERV share a normal school life or moments of relaxation take on crucial importance. This figurine captures Asuka in her traditional Japanese school swimsuit (School Swimsuit), evoking a sense of nostalgia for the ordinary, peaceful everyday life she strives so hard to protect throughout the story.
