Origin and background of the character
Vegito is the all-powerful entity born from the fusion of Son Goku and Vegeta using the sacred Potara earrings, entrusted by Old Kaioshin in the cult Shonen manga Dragon Ball Z created by Akira Toriyama. Appearing to counter the apocalyptic threat of Majin Buu (after the latter had absorbed Gohan), Vegito combines Vegeta’s tactical genius and princely arrogance with Goku’s boundless martial ingenuity. Unlike the Metamorf fusion, this divine union grants the warrior absolute confidence, resulting in a provocative fighting style and devastating techniques such as the Spirit Sword or the Big Bang Kamehameha. Banpresto’s “History Box” collection aims to recreate authentic moments from the anime’s history by placing the character on a piece of devastated terrain, thus offering a meticulous diorama rendering of the folds of his fused outfit and his determined facial expression.
