Taken from the Red Ribbon Army arc of Dragon Ball, this Banpresto figurine depicts Sergeant Major Murasaki, the ninja tasked with defending the fourth floor of the Muscle Tower. Part of the Ichibansho MASTERLISE – VS Red Ribbon Army collection, it stands approximately 25 cm tall and captures the character’s distinctive appearance from the original series.
Murasaki is depicted standing in a tense pose, fists clenched and a determined expression on his face. He wears his purple ninja outfit, consisting of a loose-fitting top and baggy trousers, complemented by a light blue belt, mesh sleeves and traditional sandals. His black hair is tied up high, and his sword, housed in a red scabbard, is secured to his back by a light-coloured harness.
The MASTERLISE format allows for the precise reproduction of the costume’s volume, the folds of the fabric and the facial details, whilst remaining larger in size than standard prize figurines. Fully pre-painted and non-articulated, this figure is designed to be displayed alongside the other characters from the VS Red Ribbon Army series, notably Android 8, Son Goku and the various members of the Red Ribbon Organisation.

Sergeant Major Murasaki is General White’s second-in-command in the Red Ribbon Army. He is responsible for guarding the fourth floor of the Muscle Tower, a major base located to the north near Jingle Village. Despite his status as an experienced ninja and his wide range of techniques, the character is also known for his clumsiness and for the often comical nature of his battles.
When Son Goku reaches his floor of the tower, Murasaki repeatedly attempts to eliminate him using shuriken, camouflage techniques, hiding underwater, traps and various sword attacks. Goku, however, consistently thwarts his schemes, often in a way that is particularly humiliating for the ninja. His sword even has an official name, the Legendary Sword Sasanishiki, before being shattered by Goku’s Nyoibo.
Murasaki also possesses a so-called ‘Split Technique’, which is supposed to give the impression that he can clone himself. In reality, he simply calls upon his four identical brothers, thus forming a group of five Murasaki brothers. Goku nevertheless manages to neutralise them one by one.
Following this failure, Murasaki frees Android 8 and orders her to fight Goku. When the peaceful cyborg refuses, the ninja attempts to detonate the bomb implanted in her body using a remote control. Goku then intervenes, destroys the remote and puts Murasaki out of action for good. This sequence makes him one of the most memorable opponents in the Muscle Tower section of the Red Ribbon Army arc.
