Taken from the Red Ribbon Army arc of Dragon Ball, this Banpresto figurine depicts General Blue, one of the most dangerous officers in the Red Ribbon Army. Part of the Ichibansho MASTERLISE – VS Red Ribbon Army collection, it stands approximately 21 cm tall and depicts the character in an attacking pose inspired by his battles against Son Goku.
General Blue is depicted crouching and leaning forwards, with his arms outstretched and his hands open, as if he were about to immobilise or attack his opponent. With his torso bare, he wears dark blue trousers held up by a black belt with a gold buckle, as well as high black boots. His blond hair and confident expression complete a sculpture that captures his arrogant and menacing demeanour.
The MASTERLISE format highlights the musculature, the face and the different volumes of the outfit whilst maintaining a size suitable for display. Fully pre-painted and non-articulated, this figure is designed to be displayed on its own or alongside other items in the VS Red Ribbon Army series, notably Sergeant Major Murasaki, Android 8 & Son Goku, or other members of the organisation.

General Blue is a senior officer in the Red Ribbon Army, responsible for commanding the Blue Corps. He is characterised by his authoritarian nature, his extreme self-confidence and his lack of tolerance towards his subordinates when they fail. His initial mission is to recover a Dragon Ball lying at the bottom of the ocean, before Commander Red also orders him to eliminate Goku following the destruction of the Silver and White units.
Blue pursues Goku, Bulma and Krillin into an underwater cave where the Dragon Ball is located. After his men are killed by the cave’s traps, he continues alone and reveals one of his most dangerous abilities: psychic powers capable of immobilising a person with a single glance. Goku, however, escapes his grip when a mouse causes Blue to panic, allowing him to counter-attack.
General Blue then manages to track down the group at Kame House, uses his powers once more to neutralise them and seizes the Dragon Balls. A long chase eventually leads the two adversaries to Penguin Village, where Blue attempts, amongst other things, to take Arale hostage before being literally sent flying out of the village by a headbutt from her.
Although he manages to return the Dragon Radar to the Red Ribbon Army’s headquarters, his failure to retrieve the Dragon Balls enrages Commander Red. To secure one last chance, Blue must face Tao Pai Pai, the assassin hired to eliminate Goku. The fight is over almost immediately: Tao Pai Pai kills General Blue with a blow to the temple delivered with his tongue, brutally ending the story of one of the most memorable adversaries from the first *Dragon Ball* series.
