This figurative money box from Monogram International depicts Ursula, the famous sea witch from The Little Mermaid. Standing approximately 20 cm tall, it combines the practical function of a money box with that of a decorative item for Disney fans and collectors of the great villains from the Disney universe.
Ursula is depicted in a compact, figurative style, with her purple skin, distinctive white hair and black tentacles. The sculpture also captures her imposing silhouette and theatrical expression, whilst she holds her magic conch shell in her hands – an accessory directly linked to her powers and her pact with Ariel. The money box is made from PVC under an official Disney licence.
Measuring approximately 8 inches, this piggy bank can be used to store coins and small change, whilst remaining detailed enough to be displayed as a figurine on a shelf, a desk or as part of a collection dedicated to The Little Mermaid.

Ursula is the main antagonist in the Disney animated film *The Little Mermaid*, released in 1989. Ariel, a young mermaid princess fascinated by the human world, dreams of living on the surface and finding Prince Eric. She therefore strikes a deal with Ursula, a cunning sea witch who offers to transform her mermaid tail into legs. In exchange, Ariel must give up her voice.
However, the contract imposed by Ursula contains conditions designed to trap Ariel. The young mermaid must obtain a true kiss of love from Prince Eric within a set time limit, or she will lose her freedom. Meanwhile, Ursula keeps Ariel’s voice in a magic shell, which becomes one of the props most closely associated with the character.
Manipulative and ambitious, Ursula seeks above all to take control of the kingdom of Triton, Ariel’s father. She exploits the desires and weaknesses of those who come to her for help, turning her magical contracts into veritable traps. Disney describes her as a particularly dangerous sea witch and one of the film’s main antagonists.
The presence of the seashell in her hands on this Monogram piggy bank is therefore a direct reference to her role in the story and to the deal she imposes on Ariel, whilst incorporating the key visual elements that have made Ursula one of Disney’s most recognisable villains.
