Origin and background of the character
Originally released in 1940, Pinocchio is the second "Animation Classic" from Walt Disney Studios, adapted from Carlo Collodi’s famous Italian fairy tale. The film recounts the adventures of a wooden puppet carved by old Geppetto, who comes to life thanks to the Blue Fairy and seeks to become a real little boy. Accompanied by his conscience, Jiminy Cricket, Pinocchio must learn truth, bravery and selflessness to fulfil his destiny. This exclusive figurine from the "Sketch" range pays a vibrant graphic tribute to the work of animators of yesteryear, featuring a monochrome grey-scale rendering that mimics the early pencil drawings and design sketches from the studio’s golden age. It stands as a historic must-have for all animation history enthusiasts and devoted collectors of the Disney universe.
