Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Tanjiro Kamado is a young swordsman who travels around Taishō-era Japan to hunt down demons and find a cure for his sister Nezuko. Initially trained in the fluid, defensive techniques of the Breath of Water, in the course of his deadly battles he rediscovers the heritage of his own family through the Dance of the Fire God (Hinokami Kagura). The name 'Dancing Flash' is a direct echo of the devastating fusion of his fighting styles, particularly when he combines the pure, rectilinear speed of the Lightning Breath (borrowed from his companion Zenitsu) with the incandescent power of his solar attacks. This technique allows him to split the air like a bolt of fire, slicing through the necks of even the strongest demons in an instant.
