In the world of Demon Slayer
In Taisho-era Japan, the fate of the young charcoal merchant Tanjiro Kamado is turned upside down the day his family is brutally slaughtered by a demon. Only his little sister Nezuko survives the attack, but she finds herself transformed into a demonic creature. Refusing to abandon his last remaining family member, Tanjiro embarks on a gruelling training regime to join the Demon Slayer Corps. Guided by his highly developed sense of smell, his mastery of the Water Breathing technique and his innate kindness, which extends even to his enemies, he travels the land in search of a cure to restore Nezuko’s humanity and eliminate Muzan Kibutsuji, the progenitor of all demons.
