Origin and backstory of the character
Deadpool (whose real name is Wade Wilson) is one of the most unconventional and popular characters in the Marvel Comics universe. A former mercenary who underwent a military experiment that granted him an accelerated healing factor but left him disfigured, he is known for his dark humour, his mental instability and his unique ability to break the fourth wall to address the audience directly. Nicknamed ‘the mercenary with a sharp tongue’, he teams up with the legendary mutant Wolverine in Marvel Studios’ blockbuster film, Deadpool & Wolverine. This Funko Pop! figurine captures the sarcastic and dynamic attitude of the hero in his iconic red and black costume.
