Character background and universe (Lore)

Okarun, whose real name is Ken Takakura, is one of the main characters in Dandadan. A sixth-former with a passion for the occult and aliens, he believes in the existence of aliens but is initially sceptical about ghosts. His encounter with Momo Ayase and their disagreement over the existence of the supernatural leads them both into an experience that turns their daily lives upside down.

Whilst exploring a place reputed to be haunted, Okarun encounters Turbo Granny, a powerful yōkai who places a curse on him. This encounter subsequently enables him to harness some of the entity’s supernatural abilities and take on a transformed form, recognisable by his white hair, his eerie appearance and his considerably enhanced physical abilities.

In this form, Okarun possesses, in particular, exceptional speed, which he utilises during his battles against the many supernatural and extraterrestrial creatures he encounters throughout the story. This FIGURIZMα figurine specifically highlights this spectacular aspect of the character through an aerial pose inspired by his high-speed movements.
