Origin and character background
Based on the critically acclaimed 2002 Disney animated feature film, Lilo & Stitch, the story comes to life on the wild shores of the Hawaiian archipelago. Lilo and her older sister Nani’s home is a charming, raised wooden house, perched on the edge of the forest and overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It is in the heart of this family haven that the lonely little orphan chooses to take in and hide Experiment 626 (Stitch), a being genetically programmed to destroy entire planets. Between hula lessons, the music of Elvis Presley and the making of the handmade doll Scrump, this home becomes the sacred cradle of their ‘Ohana’, a Hawaiian philosophy reminding us that no one should be left behind or forgotten. This miniature set captures all the nostalgia and warmth of this legendary animated home.
