Join the Galactica fighter squadron with this POP! Television figure No. 1953 featuring Kara ‘Starbuck’ Thrace. Designed by Funko, it depicts the famous Viper pilot in casual attire inspired by her look aboard the colonial ship.
Starbuck is instantly recognisable by her blonde bob, arched eyebrows and confident expression. The figurine strikes a pose characteristic of the character, with one hand on her hip whilst the other rests near her belt. This stance effectively conveys her defiant nature and her confidence in her piloting skills.
She wears a dark grey vest top paired with green military trousers, black boots and a belt fitted with two side holsters. A gold pendant and a small tattoo visible on her arm complete the look. The understated colours of her outfit reflect the military and functional environment of the Colonial Fleet.
Made from vinyl, this figurine stands approximately 10.2 cm tall. It is presented in an illustrated window box bearing the Battlestar Galactica logo and the number 1953, allowing it to be displayed with or without its packaging.
Kara Thrace, nicknamed Starbuck, is one of the Colonial Fleet’s finest fighter pilots. At the controls of a Viper, she stands out for her reflexes, her instinct and her mastery of flight, which enable her to take on the Cylon forces in particularly dangerous situations. Her exceptional talent, however, is accompanied by an impulsive, undisciplined and often confrontational nature.
Close to Commander William Adama and linked to his son Lee ‘Apollo’ Adama, Starbuck occupies a central place amongst the survivors of the Twelve Colonies. Behind her self-assurance and her taste for risk lie deep personal wounds, a strong sense of guilt and a complex relationship with authority.
Her journey gradually takes on a more mysterious dimension. After going missing during a mission, Kara returns under unexplained circumstances and claims to know the way to Earth. Her return, her visions and her role in the fleet’s destiny are among the series’ greatest mysteries, deliberately left open to multiple interpretations.
