Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Based on the animated film Batman Ninja (2018), the story takes the protector of Gotham City back in time to the heart of feudal Japan during the Sengoku era, following a temporal malfunction caused by an experimental machine. Deprived of his Batmobile, his high-tech gadgets and his usual computer bases, Bruce Wayne must relearn the art of war. Joining forces with his loyal allies in the Bat-family and a clan of local ninjas, he adopts the samurai code and takes up arms in the traditional way to overthrow the Joker and the other supervillains who have become feudal lords.
