Origin and world of the character (Lore)
In the Neo-Gotham of the year 2039 depicted in the cult animated series Batman Beyond, Bruce Wayne has retired and lives reclusively in his mansion with his only companion Ace, a Great Dane mix he has taken in. Now a fierce and fiercely loyal watchdog, Ace protects his ageing master and occasionally assists Terry McGinnis, the rebellious young student chosen by Bruce to don the new high-tech armour and become the new Dark Knight. This 'Pop & Buddy' pack celebrates the canine guardian of the Batcave and the Batman of the future, symbolising the combination of Gotham's natural brute force and cyberpunk technology.
