Meet BJ, the yellow dinosaur from *Barney & Friends*, with this Funko POP! Retro Toys No. 184 figurine. Standing approximately 9.1 cm tall, this vinyl figurine captures the classic look of the character, Barney’s friend and Baby Bop’s big brother. It joins the Retro Toys collection dedicated to the iconic characters from the Barney franchise.
BJ is depicted with his yellow body and green tummy, accompanied by his most recognisable accessories: his red cap and his red and white trainers. The figurine strikes a dynamic pose, with one hand raised in a wave, which reflects the character’s energetic and enthusiastic nature. The design is in keeping with the characteristic POP! style, featuring an oversized head and simplified shapes.
BJ is a recurring character in the children’s series *Barney & Friends*. This young, yellow, anthropomorphic Protoceratops first appears in the series from series 2 onwards, notably in the episode ‘Look at Me, I’m 3!’, which aired in 1993. He quickly becomes one of Barney’s closest friends.
BJ is the older brother of Baby Bop, whom he often calls ‘Sissy’, and Riff’s cousin. More energetic and impulsive than some of his friends, he particularly enjoys physical activities and sports such as baseball, basketball and football. His red baseball cap and trainers are therefore an integral part of his classic look.
The character is also known for his love of gherkins, his enthusiasm and his eagerness to take part in the games and adventures organised by Barney. Like the other dinosaurs in the series, BJ accompanies the children in stories centred on friendship, imagination, learning and cooperation. This POP! No. 184 features precisely this classic version of the character, instantly recognisable by his yellow, green and red colours.
