Based on the BAKI series, this Banpresto figurine depicts Yujiro Hanma, Baki’s father and a fighter nicknamed ‘the strongest creature in the world’. Standing at a stated height of approximately 12 cm, this version differs from the character’s usual depictions by showing him in a seated position, whilst strongly emphasising his extraordinary musculature.
Yujiro is depicted bare-chested, with one leg bent in front of him and the other raised to the side. His left hand rests directly on the floor, whilst his right hand grasps his trousers at the ankle. This relatively calm posture contrasts with his extremely well-developed physique: his shoulders, pectorals, arms and abdominals are sculpted with great definition, capturing the deliberately exaggerated anatomy characteristic of Baki.
The figurine also captures his spiky dark red hair, his pronounced eyebrows and his confident expression. Yujiro wears loose-fitting black trousers with a light-coloured belt or waistband and black shoes. The absence of a visible base and the seated pose give the figure a broad, compact silhouette, suitable for display on a shelf or in a display case.
Yujiro Hanma is the father of Baki Hanma and one of the central figures in the saga created by Keisuke Itagaki. The anime’s official website describes him as ‘the strongest creature in the world’, a reputation linked to physical abilities so extraordinary that he is feared by professional fighters, armies and political leaders alike.
A fighter obsessed with power and with facing opponents who can truly challenge him, Yujiro is also his son’s ultimate goal. Baki does not simply seek to become the best fighter: much of his journey is driven by his desire to surpass his father, culminating in the major showdown between the two Hanmas.
Yujiro’s musculature is one of his defining features. His extremely well-developed back is notably associated with the image of a demon’s face, an iconic visual representation of the Hanma lineage. This figurine adopts a more composed pose than his usual combat scenes, yet faithfully captures the character’s essential trait: a colossal physique that immediately conveys his power.
