History and background of the model
The koala(Phascolarctos cinereus) is a herbivorous marsupial endemic to Australia, found mainly in the eucalyptus forests of the eastern and south-eastern coastal regions of the island-continent. This nocturnal animal, which lives in the outback and woodlands, spends most of its life in the trees. Over the decades, it has become one of the most emblematic and universally recognisable symbols of Australian culture and biodiversity.
Marketed by Funko as part of its collection devoted to the world's animals, this version incorporates a flocked surface treatment to give it a tactile feel in keeping with the specific characteristics of wildlife.
