Origin and background of the character
Created by Kazuki Takahashi, the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe revolves around Monster Duels, a strategic card game of ancient Egyptian origin played in the modern day. The Dark Magician is the ultimate trump card and the most loyal servant of Yugi Muto and Pharaoh Atem. Known as ‘the ultimate mage in terms of attack and defence’, he is distinguished by his iconic purple armour, his green magic sceptre and his characteristic pointed hat. This addition to the Pop! Plus collection beautifully captures his charisma as he casts a dark magic spell, establishing itself as an essential must-have for all duelists and fans of retro manga.
