Discover Dream Journey in this figurine from FuRyu’s Trio-Try-iT collection, inspired by the world of *Umamusume: Pretty Derby*. Standing approximately 20 cm tall, this figure has swapped her usual racing outfit for an elegant and understated look, dominated by shades of grey and black.
Dream Journey is depicted standing in a calm and thoughtful pose, with one hand resting near her chin whilst the other rests in front of her. She wears a grey high-necked blouse, fitted black trousers, a belt and dark shoes. Her glasses, held in place by a chain, along with the small ornaments around her neck, reinforce the character’s refined and methodical demeanour.
Her very long greyish-brown hair is rendered with numerous flowing strands, complemented by the light and yellow accents characteristic of her design. Her Uma Musume ears, hair accessories and long ponytail complete an instantly recognisable silhouette. The Trio-Try-iT range opts here for a posed presentation that suits Dream Journey’s meticulous and composed nature particularly well.
Dream Journey is an Uma Musume officially described as a model pupil with gentle and exceptionally polite manners. She is also Orfevre’s older sister. Highly methodical, she believes that a good journey requires impeccable preparation and prefers to proceed with care and consistency. Behind her kind smile and considerate demeanour, however, lies a side that is harder to fathom.
During her childhood, Dream Journey was deeply influenced by someone she calls ‘Anego’. This person’s stories about what lies at the ‘end of the journey’ left such a lasting impression on Dream Journey that they became one of her motivations for competing in races. This notion of journey, preparation and destination thus forms an essential part of her identity in Umamusume: Pretty Derby.
Like many characters in the franchise, Dream Journey is inspired by a real Japanese racehorse. The real Dream Journey, sired by Stay Gold and out of Oriental Art, notably won the Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes in 2006, followed by the Takarazuka Kinen and the Arima Kinen in 2009. His performances that year earned him the JRA title of Best Older Colt or Horse.
