Origin and character lore
The Ares programme lies at the heart of the technological and narrative evolution of the revolutionary virtual universe of Tron, created by Disney Studios. This science-fiction universe explores the Grid, a highly sophisticated digital world born within a supercomputer, where programmes with artificial consciousness fight for their freedom and control over data flows.
Unlike traditional security programmes or human designers lost within the system, Ares embodies either a new threat or a new glimmer of cybernetic hope. Sent from the Grid to the real world on an unprecedentedly perilous mission, he represents the ultimate fusion of pure software technology and human physical reality. This Pop! figurine captures the military aesthetic, the sleek design and the integrated circuits of his armour, symbolising the mysterious atmosphere and cutting-edge action of this major cinematic instalment.
