TRANSFORMERS - Autobot Jazz - Figure Deluxe Class 12cm

This Hasbro Transformers Studio Series Deluxe Class figure depicts the Autobot Jazz as he appeared in the first live-action Transformers film. Standing approximately 12 cm tall in robot mode, it features the character’s silver design and includes a full transformation mechanism that allows it to change from a robot into a Pontiac Solstice. The transformation takes place in 19 steps. 

Robot mode faithfully recreates Jazz’s highly detailed mechanical aesthetic, with a silver-grey body, black elements, translucent light-blue parts and the Pontiac grille integrated directly into his torso. The doors and various body panels reposition themselves around the body during the transformation, whilst retaining a silhouette close to that seen on screen. 

In vehicle mode, Jazz takes the form of the silver Pontiac Solstice used in the film. Hasbro is officially utilising the General Motors licence here to reproduce the bodywork and emblems associated with the model. The figure is also articulated at the head, arms and legs to allow for various combat or display poses. 

A Crescent cannon is included with the figure. This accessory can be attached in both robot mode and Pontiac Solstice mode. The Studio Series range is specifically designed to recreate characters and scenes from the Transformers films, with details, transformations and accessories directly inspired by their on-screen appearances.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Jazz is one of the Autobots arriving on Earth in *Transformers*, the film directed by Michael Bay and released in 2007. He joins Optimus Prime, Ironhide and Ratchet after Bumblebee has made contact with Sam Witwicky. His Earth alternate mode is a silver Pontiac Solstice, a design directly replicated by this Studio Series figure. 

In this film adaptation, Jazz holds an important position within Optimus Prime’s group and stands out for his laid-back nature, his agility and his courage in battle. Despite his relatively small size compared to several other Autobots, he does not hesitate to take on much larger opponents. 

During the final battle in Mission City, Jazz fights the Decepticons alongside the other Autobots and human forces. He even goes so far as to confront Megatron directly, a duel explicitly highlighted by Hasbro for this new Studio Series figure. The clash proves fatal for him, making Jazz one of the most memorable casualties of this first cinematic adventure.
