Origin and character lore

Jerry is one of the two central characters in Tom & Jerry, a series created in 1940 by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. Warner Bros. describes him as a mischievous little mouse living in a hole in the wall of the house where Tom lives. A cheese-lover and particularly cunning, Jerry excels at turning the traps intended to catch him against the cat.

Nibbles, also known as Tuffy, is a little mouse often seen alongside Jerry. The official Japanese profile for Tom & Jerry describes him as a tiny, particularly greedy character who, despite his small size, is capable of devouring impressive quantities of food.

In *Tom & Jerry Gokko*, the classic characters are reimagined with a design specifically developed in Japan.
