Origin and character background
Takemichi Hanagaki is the central protagonist with an unshakeable will in the dramatic, time-travelling epic Tokyo Revengers, created by manga artist Ken Wakui. A 26-year-old young adult leading a monotonous life, his world is turned upside down when he learns of the death of his only girlfriend from secondary school, Hinata Tachibana, at the hands of the fearsome Tokyo Manji (Toman) gang. After being pushed onto the train tracks, Takemichi discovers he has the ability to time-travel twelve years into the past. Nicknamed the ‘Crybaby Hero’, he vows to infiltrate the ranks of Toman and rise through the ranks to change the future, protect his friends and save Hinata from a tragic fate.
This 16 cm figurine perfectly captures the young man’s determination and resolve. The sculpture meticulously highlights his brightly coloured outfit, the precision of his fighting stance, and the expression on his face, ready to take the blows to defend his convictions. It is an absolute must-have for any collector keen to assemble the key figures of the Tokyo Manji and add a touch of depth, realism and emotion to their display.
