This Banpresto figurine depicts Tearju Lunatique, the brilliant scientist and teacher from To LOVE-Ru Darkness, in a feline version from the Nyarls Collection. Standing approximately 14 cm tall, she is depicted in a relaxed, seated pose that highlights the character’s elegance, her long blonde hair and her distinctive glasses.
Tearju is depicted with her long blonde hair flowing freely down her back, held at the ends by a large white bow. Her face retains her green eyes and slim glasses, whilst two blonde cat ears adorned with small golden bells have been added to her hairstyle. A long, curled white tail completes the feline theme unique to this collection.
Her outfit consists of a white two-piece ensemble with wavy edging, accompanied by a black collar tied with a white ribbon, cuffs at the wrists and small ankle bracelets. Tearju is seated on the floor, one hand propping her up whilst the other arm is drawn in front of her body. Her long hair flows down behind her legs, adding further volume to this compact figurine.

Character background and lore
Tearju Lunatique is a brilliant scientist specialising in space biotechnology. The official profile published by Shueisha states that she is the creator of Golden Darkness, better known as Yami, whom she created using her own cells. After falling out with the laboratory she worked for, Tearju disappeared for a while before returning to find Yami.
Upon arriving on Earth, Tearju joins Sainan High School as an assistant teacher in Rito’s class. Her reunion with Yami marks a significant milestone in To LOVE-Ru Darkness: despite the guilt she feels regarding the young assassin’s past, she maintains a deeply maternal attitude towards her. The anime adaptation also portrays Tearju as the genius scientist who created Yami and devotes several episodes to their reunion.
Finally, Tearju stands out due to the contrast between her exceptional scientific intelligence and her particularly clumsy nature. This aspect is regularly used for comic effect in the series and is one of the traits highlighted even in the official promotional material for the character’s merchandise. The Nyarls Collection captures this gentle and slightly awkward image here, adapting it to a cat-themed aesthetic that matches the Yami figurine from the same range.
