*Texas Chainsaw Massacre*, known in French as *Massacre à la tronçonneuse*, is one of the most iconic franchises in horror cinema. The original 1974 film, directed by Tobe Hooper, had a profound influence on the slasher genre with its brutal atmosphere, unsettling realism and portrayal of a murderous, isolated family in Texas.
Leatherface is the central figure of this saga. Recognisable by his human-skin mask and his chainsaw, he embodies a form of primitive, physical and chaotic horror. Unlike other cinematic killers, Leatherface is often portrayed as a character driven by his family, his impulses and his oppressive environment.
This ‘Santa Leatherface’ version subverts traditional Christmas imagery, transforming it into a festive horror scene. The contrast between the Father Christmas costume, the festive meal and the macabre accessories gives this figurine a strong identity, ideal for collectors seeking an original and offbeat take on the character.
