Origin and universe of the character
Created by George Lucas in 1977, the Star Wars saga is a cornerstone of science fiction and global popular culture, chronicling the eternal struggle between the Rebel Alliance and the tyranny of the Galactic Empire. Luke Skywalker, a humble farmer from the desert planet of Tatooine, discovers his extraordinary destiny by becoming the apprentice of the Jedi Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda, in order to master the Force. Alongside the cult films, the comic books published at the time by Marvel Comics greatly expanded the franchise’s lore. Issue 66 of the original series, published in the early 1980s, is part of this legendary era of space adventures. This “Comic Cover” box set, published by Funko, pays a vibrant, nostalgic tribute to the retro aesthetic of vintage comics, carefully capturing the essence of this legendary hero.
