Origin and universe of the character
The character of Biggs Darklighter belongs to the science-fiction universe of the Star Wars saga, created by George Lucas in 1977. A native of Tatooine, Biggs is Luke Skywalker’s best friend, sharing with him the dream of escaping their barren planet to join the Imperial Academy before defecting to the Rebel Alliance. This design is directly inspired by a famous scene cut from the final edit of *Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope*. During this sequence, set at Tosche Station, Biggs meets up with Luke to bid him farewell and secretly confide his intention to join the Rebellion. This vinyl figure faithfully captures his original civilian outfit, his dark cape and his iconic moustache, set to add a highly collectable touch to the shelves of fans of the franchise.
