STAR WARS 3 - Aayla Secura - Figure Black Series 15cm

Meet Aayla Secura, the Twi’lek Jedi of the Galactic Republic, with this 15 cm articulated figure from Hasbro’s Star Wars The Black Series collection. This edition celebrates the 20th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and recreates the character’s appearance as she is seen during the final hours of the Clone Wars. 

The figure recreates Aayla Secura’s distinctive blue skin, her long lekku adorned with brown headbands, and her combat outfit consisting of a cropped top, brown trousers, armour and high boots. The sculpting and painting in the Black Series range aim to reproduce the character’s features on a 15 cm scale, whilst the numerous points of articulation allow her to be posed in various combat positions. This version is said to have around 25 points of articulation

Aayla comes with her blue-bladed lightsaber and a combat accessory to vary the display. The blade can be detached from the hilt, allowing the Jedi to be displayed with the lightsaber deactivated. The set is presented in anniversary-themed blister packaging, specially designed to mark the 20th anniversary of *Revenge of the Sith*.

Thanks to its articulation and accessories, this figure is equally suited to static display and the re-enactment of battle scenes. Its 15 cm scale is also visually compatible with the other characters in the Star Wars The Black Series collection.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Aayla Secura is a Twi’lek Jedi from Ryloth and a former Padawan of Quinlan Vos. A particularly agile warrior, she took part in the Battle of Geonosis, the clash that marked the start of the Clone Wars. Having become a Jedi General, she subsequently fought on numerous fronts alongside the Republic’s clone troopers, notably with Commander Bly and the men of the 327th Star Corps. 

During the Clone Wars, Aayla also met Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano. She shared with the young Padawan some of the teachings she had received from Quinlan Vos, particularly regarding detachment and the need to accept the changes that life imposes. She thus appears in several episodes of *Star Wars: The Clone Wars*, in addition to her film appearances in *Attack of the Clones* and *Revenge of the Sith*. 

Her fate is directly linked to the tragic events of Episode III. Whilst she is leading the Republic forces on Felucia, Palpatine issues Order 66. Commander Bly and his clone troopers then turn on the Jedi they had until then fought alongside and kill her in the planet’s jungle. This scene makes Aayla Secura one of the most recognisable victims of the fall of the Jedi Order depicted in *Revenge of the Sith*.
